2022 ATTA Training & Championships + Inter Unit Competition

​

The ATTA Training & Championships + Inter Unit Competition for 2022 took place at the Aldershot Garrison Sports Centre (AGSC) on 15 to 18 Feb 22 with around 80 plus players taking part. However this year saw a slight change to the set up of this Event; ATTA is always striving to improve things overall so it was decided to introduce a new feature which is the Inter Unit Competition. With that said this year saw 12 teams enter to our delight so with it being a huge success it will now be an annual part of these Championships so players can compete as a team and individually. Players had a fantastic two day training package with by our special guest coach Jason (Sugrue) plus his team of coaches Josh & Zion (Greenhouse Sports) along with the two days covering the Competition plus Tournament itself organised by Padre Nicola Frail, our ATTA Chair alongside SSgt Rob Culf, our ATTA Secretary. 

 

Congratulations to this years Winners & Runners Up 🏆 Results are as follows:

 

- Men's (Open) Singles: Dom beat Kiran

 

- Ladies' Singles: Bethany beat Nicola

 

- Men's (Open) Doubles: Kiran & Nathan beat Rob M & Dom

 

- Ladies' Doubles: Sandy & Nicola beat Hannah & Bethany

 

- Mixed Doubles: Dom & Bethany beat Nicola & Kiran

 

- Plate (Open) Singles: Anmol beat Ganesh 

 

- Novice (Open) Singles: Tanzin beat Sunuwar 996

 

* Merit Award One: Sandy for assisting with media; video montages

 

* Merit Award Two: Nathan Gorst for the emerging player

 

* Appreciation Award: Bhim Limbu for assisting and issuing the match draws

 

* Capt Tom 100 Masters Award 2022/23: Rob Culf (who steps down as ATTA Secretary)

 

- Inter Unit Winners: 3 REME

 

- Inter Unit Runners Up: 29 RLC - Team A
