2025 Army TT Training & Championships + Inter Unit Competition

The Army TT Training & Championships + Inter Unit Competition for 2025 took place at the Aldershot Garrison Sports Centre (AGSC) on 10 to 13 Feb 25 with a high number again of around 120 plus players taking part. In addition to that it was fantastic to see the return of the Inter Unit Competition for its fourth year running. Over the last two years ATTA has seen 12 to 29 to 24 teams enter and to our delight we had 29 teams participate this year. As the Inter Unit Competition continues to be a huge success it will now be an annual part of these Championships so players can compete as a team and individually. Players had a fantastic training package at the start with by our special guest coach Phill (Avery) Table Tennis Wales who has connections  with one of our top Army Players; his son Ben who together paired up as part of this years ATTA Coaching Team along with the three days covering the Competition plus Tournament itself organised by Capt Matt Hutson, our ATTA Chair with the assistance of Rosemarie, ATTA Tournament Referee.

- Mixed Doubles: Nicola & Matt beat Hils & Toby

- Plate (Open) Singles: Denis beat Anurag

- Novice (Open) Singles: Tilung beat Rajan

​

- Inter Unit Comp Winners: 7 Bn REME - Team A

​

- Inter Unit Comp Runners Up: GARRC Sp Bn

​

- Appreciation Award One: Oramah for most improved player and standout mention from Pro TT Coach Phill Avery @ttwales

 

- Appreciation Award Two: Humphrey for selfless commitment for his efforts going above and beyond helping each day with things like set up and being on time

* Appreciation Mention: TY to Rosemarie, our ATTA for Tournament Referee; having her makes our Event much more  professional as she works under @tabletennisengland noting she’s a Veteran & Former ATTA Player

 

* Capt Tom 100 Master Award 2024/25 Ish for his outstanding contribution to Table Tennis; for his Dedication & Development of the Sport
