2022 ATTA Training & Round Robin Competition

​

The ATTA Training & Round Robin Competition for 2022 took place at the Aldershot Garrison Sports Centre (AGSC) on 4 to 6 Oct 22. This continued the annual Event for the sixth year (after a two year break due to COVID-19) with plenty of entries with a total of approximately 40 players taking part. Players had a fantastic training package to start with by our special guest coach Jason (Sugrue) along with the Round Robin Competition itself organised by SSgt Rob Culf, our ATTA Secretary alongside Lt Matt Hutson, our ATTA Treasurer. The standard of play was high and there were plenty of worthy 'trophy' winners. This Event is a great way to start the new season encouraging new players to the sport along with being great preparation for the upcoming Army Training & Championships in February 2023 and the Inter-Services in 2023 as well. There were several previously unseen players plus a healthy representation from the Army Reserve and our top players. The eventual trophy winners were:

- Mens Singles Group 2 Winner: Suman

 

- Ladies Singles Winner: Hilary

 

- Mens Plate Winner: Gobin Dura

 

- Mens Plate Runner Up: Steve

 

- Mens Plate Group 2 Winner: Oliver

 

- Mens Plate Group 3 Winner: Tharendra

 

- Ladies Plate Winner: Sandy

 

- Appreciation Award One: Col Steve Thomas 

 

- Appreciation Award Two: SSgt Rob Culf
